Our Summer intensive course, in conjunction with the Young Performers Academy, will be taking place on the 6th to the 10th July 2020. This fun and exciting week-long summer intensive is open to all students. Previous dance experience is desirable but classes will cater for both new and seasoned dancers. There will be classes in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop and Commercial.

Places on our Summer Intensive course are limited so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Register your interest by completing the form and the College administrator will contact you. College of Dance Intensive Courses


Our week-long Summer intensive course, taking place from the 6th to the 10th July 2010, will be at The College of Dance, St. Catherine’s Sports Centre, Marrowbone Lane, Dublin, D08 W5WC.

Over the week there will be classes in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hip and Commercial. Each day starts at 10am but our recommendation is for students to be there from 9.30 to warm up. Each day will finish at 4pm.

The focus of the Summer intensive is for students to improve their technique and performance skills in an inclusive and friendly atmosphere. Students will enjoy this week regardless of their previous dance training or ability. The Summer Intensive is designed for students from 10 years old to young adults. This fantastic week of dance is not to be missed so we strongly recommend booking in early.

THE 2020 SUMMER INTENSIVE - 6th - 10th JULY 2020









The fees are broken down as follows:

  • 5 Day Course – €250  |  4 Day Course – €200  |  3 Day Course – €150
  • 2 Day Course – €120  |  1 Day Course – €60
  • Individual Classes – €15 per class

Priority will be given to applicants registering for the full 5 days. All bookings are on a first come first reserved basis. No booking will be reserved without a deposit. The deposit is 50% of the total cost of the course being booked.Individual classes must be paid in cash before the class begins.

Payments can be made in cash, postal orders or bank drafts, made payable to the College of Dance, or by bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer please contact the College for details.

College of Dance Intensive Courses


Due to the nature of the Summer Intensive previous dance experience is desirable. The program is designed for dancers from 10 years to young adults. This program runs for five days commencing at 10am to 4pm daily. We may accept slightly younger dancers with relevant experience, if in doubt please contact the college.

What should I wear?

Students should bring appropriate dance clothing for each genre if they have it. If not, loose and comfortable clothing is fine. In terms of shoes, then if you own appropriate dance shoes for each style then bring these. If not then a good pair of comfortable trainers is acceptable. There is no need to bring Ballet pointe shoes.

What else should I bring with me?

Students should bring a drink, some snacks and lunch with them.

What is ages is the Summer Intensive suitable for?

The Summer Intensive is designed for students from 10 years of age to young adults.

How do I get to the College of Dance

The College of Dance is based in St. Catherine’s Sports Centre, Marrowbone Lane, Dublin, D08 W5WC. The building host a brand new purpose-built studio, a full gym, changing rooms with showers, secure student lockers and lecture rooms. The building is very safe and secure with St. Catherine’s staff always on duty.

Car: There is no car park but on-street parking in the local area.
Luas: The closest Luas stop is Fatima which is on the red Luas line. From this stop, it’s about a 5 minute walk.
Bus: The following buses have stops which are about 5 to 10 mins walk from the College of Dance – 27, 56a, 77-N, 77a, 77x & 151 (The Coombe / Marion Villas Stop). 13, 40, 68x & 123 (Kilmainham / Ewington Lane Stop).

How do I book a place?

The easiest option is to download a Summer Intensive application form from one of the links above. Complete the form and email a scanned / photographed copy to The College administrator will contact you once we receive the completed form and provide details on how to pay your depoit.

How do I pay for the Summer Intensive?

All bookings are confirmed with a 50% deposit, payable on booking into the College bank account. Details will be given once completed applications have been receieved.  The balance for the Summer Intensive can be paid into the College bank account no later than Friday 19th June 2020. If paying in cash, the balance should be paid on the morning of the first day you are attending the Summer Intensive.

What's your cancellation policy?

All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
