The College’s Most Successful Perform Event Ever…
Perform festival was back in the RDS on the 10th & 11th February 2024. It was a fantastic weekend and without doubt the College’s most successful event to date. With a weekend packed full of so many highlights we’ll be writing a full news article soon.
The most significant highlight from the event was that two College of Dance students scooped the top scholarship awards on offer. Both Conall McMahon & Oisin Pelly each won a full, three-year scholarship to The Brighton Academy, one of the UK’s hottest performing arts universities. These awards are values at £27,750 each…. so that’s a whopping €65,000 in total. This award was made even sweeter as it was presented by last year’s winner, Alannah Mc Carthy Maher, who was a former College of Dance student.
The highlights kept rolling in. College of Dance students won all three of the singing / musical theatre competitions they were entered into. One of our students, Ava Holmes, won the ‘Dance For Your Life’ dance competition. The College’s five workshops had record attendance with over 350 students taking part. The stand was busier than ever and the College’ main stage performances were fantastic blowing the roof event.
We’ll add more highlights to our news article coming out later this month. A massive congratulation to every College student. You all shone so brightly and were a true credit to the College of Dance.

Founded in 1990, The College of Dance is now recognised as Ireland’s premier dance college providing full-time, foundation level, professional dance and performing arts training. Entry is by audition only, with only the most talented and committed accepted to undergo comprehensive training in Classical Ballet, Pointe work, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Pilates and Vocal Studies. Lectures in Dance History, Anatomy and Nutrition are also an integral part of the curriculum.
